Colin Delaney vs. Mark Briscoe
– Well this is a blast from the horrible past of WWECW! Colin’s definitely put on some meat and muscle since he’s been on TV. Too bad it looks like he’s still in the same spot on the card – to do the job.
– Random “Daniel Bryan” chant… I guess because Delaney now looks vaguely like Bryan? I don’t really know.
– Mark Briscoe wins with a frogsplash top-rope elbow in a glorified enhancement match.
Jay Lethal vs. Jimmy Jacobs
<- The video quality of this week’s show looks terrific! Except for being able to see the hockey benches & penalty boxes in the background. Although they are in Canada so I guess every arena is a hockey arena.
<- Steve Corino is on commentary for the first time since S.C.U.M. won their tag team match at Border Wars. It’s going to get a little confusing because Corino sounds almost exactly like Kevin Kelly.
<- Jimmy Jacobs pins Lethal clean with his finisher. I’m always so surprised that Jacobs never had a run in TNA or at least WWE development.
<- So it’s my first crack at ROH TV & our new review system and I get hit with a recap show of the Border Wars PPV. Not the best way to try out this new feature but what the hell!
<- I do want to say before we get into the show, I fully believe that Jay Briscoe should be stripped of his title & his ROH contract for the comments he made last week. This company is still “Ring Of HONOR“, isn’t it?
As you might have heard (or seen briefly on my Twitter page), Creatively Endeavored will be going away on June 1st and a new site will be taking it’s place. The new site will still have all the same things you love about Creatively Endeavored but so much more.
One of these changes we are going to start implementing this week.
Creatively Endeavored has become very WWE & WWE Raw specific. We want to change that. Soon you’ll be seeing new reports popping up featuring recaps for ROH, TNA Impact and WWE Main Event to go along with our coverage of Raw, SmackDown and NXT. These “Quick Hits” will have a little twist though. Every 3 months or so, the writers covering the shows will rotate so there will always be a fresh perspective covering the different shows and different companies.
I know I’m personally looking forward to the change and the many changes coming in the very near future!
I recently had the privilege of getting to know one of the fastest rising stars on the independent wrestling scene, Adam Cole. Over the course of about a month from when we started our interview, Adam headlined his first Ring Of Honor PPV scoring a pinfall victory over ROH World Champion Davey Richards and was also chosen by ROH’s own Jim Cornette to be his handpicked opponent to face then-NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Adam Pearce. It’s been a wild month for this 22-year-old from Florida and it seems as if things are just getting started.
