: Fandango has a chance to mix with some WWE veterans other than Chris Jericho, instead he just becomes a spectator between the two guys fighting over the Intercontinental Title for way too many months.
The Miz v. Wade Barrett Intercontinental Champion
: The Miz and Wade Barrett’s feud should have fizzled out the night after WrestleMania, it hasn’t; but adding Fandango into the mix should be a nice way to freshen up this feud. Continue Reading
Before last night’s clean sweep of Extreme Rules The Shield was the hottest thing in professional wrestling. Now that every member of The Shield has WWE gold around their waist who or more importantly what is it going to take down a trio of guys who are on their way to becoming the best stable of all time, if the WWE doesn’t screw it up of course. Is there any babyface in the mid card that can match Dean Ambrose‘s intensity? Is there any tag team or two guys that could work together that can stop the brutal force of Roman Reigns or the high-flying ability of Seth Rollins? The members of The Shield and the WWE are in a PERFECT spot to not only capitalize on the moment, but allow these guys to blossom into stars for years and even decades to come.
: Smackdown kicked off again this week with Miz TV. Between his YouTube matches and his lackluster Piper’s Pit type show is this just a sign of life after the WWE for him?
Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns w/ Dean Ambrose v. The Usos
: Two television appearances in a row and against the hottest act in the WWE. Are the Usos finally going to get a real chance at the main roster? They would add a whole new element to the desperate tag team division.
: Good god who wouldn’t want to see the Damien Sandow Show? Even if you don’t like the guy his segments would be much more entertaining than whatever creative has for The Miz every week.
<- Ah now back to my comfort zone, WWE-style production. I don’t know if that’s good or bad.
Natalya vs Summer Rae
<- God it’s been so damn long, you forget that Natalya is a FREAKING HART! She can GO in the ring. Apparently her talents are better used to valet The Great Khali to the ring though.
<- Summer Rae is surprising me a lot with a few of the moves she’s pulling out. Reminds me of Maryse and she had a pretty good run in the WWE.
Damien Sandow v. Baron Corbin
: Corbin making his NXT debut in a squash, I mean match against Damien Sandow. I can never be too biased because the closet I’ve come to being a professional wrestler is the backyard wrestling league I was in for two weeks, but either Baron Corbin and Sandow didn’t get a chance to really talk before their match, or the kid just needs work. Either way after the match Damien challenged Big E Langston for the NXT Title.
: Adrian Neville and Bo Dallas were backstage, Bo, I think, tried to joke with Neville, but it came across as a bad John Cena joke. It almost foreshadowed a title change however, as Neville gave Dallas a look of doubt as he walked away.
1. Typical John Cena promo to kick off another 3 hours of Raw. Dated references, cheesy comedy and *rah-rah* “I’m champ!” It was pretty convenient that the WWE App had photos of John Cena’s past “Last Man Standing” matches cued up and published almost before Ryback finished speaking. Oh & if you didn’t think Ryback looked like Bill Goldberg (or do), check this out.
2. Last week it was Cody Rhodes and this week it’s Damien Sandow. Apparently Randy Orton doesn’t job for anyone not in The Shield. Seriously though, why does Orton need to be featured in squash matches over anyone? It’s not like he’s lost any popularity that he needs these to get over again.
1. That was the politest WWE crowd I’ve seen/heard in a long time. Ohio should be proud of themselves for giving those kids a memory of a lifetime.
2. DAMN! Great showing from Cody Rhodes in a stellar match with Randy Orton but I can’t help but think that was a wasted opportunity to catapult Rhodes to another level that he’s recently lost by being in a tag team with Damien Sandow. The Cross Rhodes false finish was set up perfectly for Rhodes to go over but yet we get another meaningless Orton win followed by the aftermatch burial RKO. Sometimes they (WWE) get so close just to shoot themselves in the foot again.
