Hello everyone. I’m back with my second review of WWE Main Event this week!
-A rematch from RAW already? Surprised this wasn’t saved for Smackdown. I’m sure Teddy Long must have some kind of tag team match planned instead.
-If you ask me, A.J. Lee has been the most watchable Diva in the WWE since Trish Stratus left. She plays her part as a manager perfectly and she has made the psycho crazy chick gimmick work. And she is good in the ring to top it off. Of course, who doesn’t love her finisher too?
-For being new to the WWE, Big E Langston is adequate enough in the ring. And they are doing a great job of getting over his strength. If the rumored Mark Henry/Big E feud is true, I think it could surprise people. Having Mark Henry return as a face would work if they have him turn the same way Sheamus did against him in 2011.
-I hate that Alberto del Rio uses the backstabber as a regular move. I loved it as a finisher. (Hint for our Podcast next week!)
-Alberto del Rio wins clean over Big E??? With an enziguri kick??? Insert Cornette Face here.
-I know I wasn’t too high on the Ryback promo from this past week, but I’m starting to like his heel work. He’s a bit over the top at times, but you can tell he likes playing a heel.
-3MB is one of my favorite low card heel acts in quite some time.
-Remember when Drew McIntyre was “The Chosen One?” Yeah me neither.
-Michael Cole just said “I’m sure The Shield is watching this one, scouting their potential opponents.” I’m pretty sure The Shield isn’t worried about these two teams.
-They may be two low card teams, but it is nice to see The Usos and 3MB get over 10 minutes for a match. That is why I could start watching shows like this more often.
-And here comes Ryback to take out Heath Slater then throw him in the back of his ambulance. The distraction allowed The Usos to pick up the win. That was a decent tag match from all parties involved.
-Curtis Axel seems more like a “Triple H” guy than a Paul Heyman guy.
-Wait, the show ends with an update on Triple H??? He can’t even let the mid-carders end the show made for them? Jeez, give me a break. (He’s suffering from post-concussion syndrome) I don’t like this angle at all. Triple H is not a sympathetic character. Never has, never will be.
-That is it for this week. Two matches with the tag match getting some decent time. Wasn’t Sin Cara vs Wade Barrett suppose to happen on this show? Guess it just shows how dis-organized the WWE is at the moment.
