: WWE Champion The Rock opened up SmackDown. Michael Cole mentioned only 30% of champions retain their titles at WrestleMania, which is funny because John Cena is going to win at WrestleMania so that number will be dropping in a few days.
: Once again The Rock doesn’t bother to promote WrestleMania, because we’re all dumb wrestling fans and are going to buy it anyway.
: John Laurinaitis returned to WWE television, why was this not a big deal this weekend on the internet? I am shocked. I missed Big Johnny.
: The fact that these four continue to work around each other story lines makes me happy, I may be in the minority but Jericho is a great face, The Miz is better than people give him credit. On the other side Wade Barrett is a great classic heel, and Fandango is already pushing people’s buttons.
: The Miz distracted Barrett and as he entered back into the ring Jericho hit the Code Breaker to pick up the win.
: To anyone at SmackDown chanting ‘You Can’t Wrestle’ to Johnny Curtis doesn’t watch too much wrestling. Nonetheless its heat, his character is generating it, and that’s all that matters.
Ryback v. Mark Henry Bench Press Contest
: This is one of the three matches I am looking forward to at WrestleMania. To find out the other two read my WrestleMania Preview this week. On one hand Mania is a great place for Ryback to pick up his first pay per view victory and look strong heading into the rest of 2013. On the other hand a win for Mark Henry sets up his comeback to another World Title reign.
: Mark Henry completed 53 reps, insane. Before Ryback could complete his 54 rep Henry slammed the bar down onto Ryback, breaking the bench in the process. I thought it was a great way to continue their feud of dominating the WWE.
Dolph Ziggler & AJ v. Daniel Bryan & Kaitlyn Intergender Tag Team Match
: In a perfect world, well my perfect world. Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler would be competing for the World Heavyweight Title somewhere in-between the part timer matches. It is what it is, at least they both on the bill.
: Kaitlyn hit the spear on AJ to pick up the win. These two have been circling each other for almost months now, wouldn’t it make sense for them to compete for the Divas Title.
: If Swagger can get a decent match out of Khali he deserves to be World Champion.
: Best spot of the whole match, outside of the ring Swagger applied the ankle lock on Khali. Hornswoggle came over and grabbed at Jack’s leg. Kudos to the producer of that spot.
: Ricardo Rodriguez walked out to distract Swagger as Alberto Del Rio came from the crowd and attacked Jack. Zeb Colter tried to help Jack but Ricardo hit him with one of his crutches.
: Once again we were forced to sit through a baby face promo from Big Show, Sheamus and Randy Orton. Randy being the ‘voice of reason’ all makes for a heel turn at Mania. I just hope he doesn’t join The Shield, because that gimmick would be dead.
Sheamus Randy Orton & Big Show v. Rhode Scholars & Antonio Cesaro
: Now that’s a great faction, Rhodes, Sandow and Cesaro. Just imagine the possibilities. I’ll give you a minute to compose yourself.
: All three faces stood in the ring howling, very awkwardly to be frank, at Rhodes as Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick to pick up the win.
: The Shield’s music hit and the three made their way out of the crowd. Orton, Sheamus and Show didn’t wait as they entered the crowd and the six men began to brawl as SmackDown ended.
